T-Illa-The One

Canadian Emcee T-Illa’s  debut single “The One” featuring R&B sensation Foxx Williams has hit university and underground radio stations all across Canada and the U.S., and the music video on YouTube has received major hits creating a wild following for the lyricist. Newly re-produced & mixed for commercial radio, this eclectic mix is a perfect portrayal of the woman behind the music. Her message of empowerment is a simple one. Female Hip hop artists no do not need male endorsement to succeed therefore; she has created an all female team to bring her to the next level.

T-Illa’s highly anticipated debut album, Caution! Slippery when Wet is a sultry fusion of ol’ school hip-hop, 80s synth-pop and Reggae with major production from The Wiz (former DJ/Rapper, Esthero/Sony). ! Slippery when Wet is due for release January 2011.

A native of Jamaica, T-Illa (born Tamica Louden) has called Toronto, New York and Connecticut home and traveled the world to perform. With a powerful message and raw, bangin’ music, industry heavy weights and listeners are taking notice. She’s featured on an installment of American Ambush TV DVD series (Ambush TV Vol. 7); a large feat for a female. Is Canada’s ready for a female revolution?  T-Illa and her team think so. It won’t be long before T-Illa establishes herself as a force to be reckoned with.
