Daniella Watters Feelin Good
With a voice mature beyond her years, 23 year old Daniella Watters resurfaces from the depths of pop music to record smooth Jazz standards with conviction and style. Immersed in the music biz since the age of 7, Daniella has performed for thousands of people both as an artist of musical theatre and as a member of pop trio ‘Untamed’ who had a hit a few years back with a song called “You’re Not Gonna Score” which was spun heavily by over 40 stations in Canada including Toronto’s CHUM-FM & Montreal’s Mix 96.
Daniella is presently at York University majoring in Psychology and Jazz Vocal. She performs with her own funk rock band DaytimeTheft and cover band Metro Big Band around the Toronto Area She has also been selected to perform with York University’s R&B ensemble and she has developed a strong passion for these styles of music. This sultry version of “Feelin Good”, a song written for the 1964 musical the Roar of the Greasepaint – the Smell of the Crowd and since covered by many artists, including Nina Simone, Sammy Davis Jr., Bobby Darin and Frank Sinatra to name a few, is the result of her new found musical passion.
