Miss Gold, born Melanie Goldman, is a pop artist from Toronto, Canada. Her influences include Kelly Clarkson, Whitney Houston, Pink, and Katy Perry which can clearly be heard in Miss Gold’s debut single “Insane” taken from her forthcoming full length CD due for release in the spring of 2010.
Mel, Miss Gold also credits her family as a notable influence. Music was a major part of her childhood, her family all loved to sing and would encourage her wherever they went to sing in public. Her father influenced her to listen to artists such as: Joni Mitchell, James Taylor and Janis Joplin and study how they influenced a nation of people through their talent.
